Maine – GIANT Chocolate Moose!

Me, My Mom, and my sister Karlie in front of Lenny the giant chocolate moose!

We visited friends near Portland, Maine.  One of the places we stopped to visit was a family owned business.  Inside the store they had a giant Chocolate Moose, named Lenny!  The moose was BIG!  Someone took a lot of time to make and design Lenny.  I wanted to touch it but it was in a section that you can look but not touch (which is probably good because if everyone touched it the chocolate would probably melt)!

Kinder Joy: Candy & Toy Filled Eggs from India

Karlie and I enjoyed these delicious Kinder Joy candy and toy filled eggs for the first time when my Dad went to India!  I never knew they made them until he brought them home to share with us.  Recently one of his co-workers brought each of us a Kinder Joy egg back from India for us.  We LOVED it!

The Kinder Joy is an orange and white egg shape (a lot like the eggs you hunt for around Easter).  Half of the egg contains a yummy white and milk chocolate candy with a crunchy goodness that you eat with a little spoon that comes inside the egg.  The other half of the egg contains an neat little too.  It is a fun treat that you get both a tasty snack AND a toy in one cute egg.

Reviews: Chronicles of Narnia – The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe by C. S. Lewis

My sister, friends, and I love reading and listening to The Lion The Witch and The Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis a lot.  Several years ago my parents got us the this book. It has been a big hit with all of the kids that have read it! We have taken this book all most everywhere. It’s great to read or listen to if you are waiting in an airport or going on a road trip.

When have a chance to read more it is one I would pick.   The Lion The Witch and The Wardrobe  by C.S. Lewis is one of the best books.   Kids enjoy it yet many adults love reading the book too.  All my friends want to read this and when they read it they love it too.  If you are looking for a great book this summer check out this one!

The Lion The Witch and The Wardrobe Positives:

  • Great for Kids, Parents (the whole family)
  • Entertaining to read or listen to in audiobook form
  • A good mix of excitement

I give The Lion The Witch and The Wardrobe our top rating of 5 smiles because it has been a fun book.  We have read and listened to it multiple times over the past few years.  It is something we will probably still enjoy reading once we are older too.  It is entertaining and fun!

Reviews: My Blue PlasmaCar

PlasmaCar Blue

My sister, friends,  and I play with a blue PlasmaCar a lot.  Several years ago my parents got us the car for Christmas.  It has been a big hit with all the kids!  We keep the car downstairs so we can play with it on the tile floor.  It goes a lot faster on the tile floor.  The car is a lot of fun and we ride it all the time.  Everyone wants a turn riding on the car.  I have listed both the positive and negatives of the PlasmaCar.

PlasmaCar Positives:

  • There are no gears on the car
  • No batteries needed to run it
  • No pedals to get it moving; only your body movements
  • It’s super easy to steer
  • It can move on tile, hardwood floors, linoleum, sidewalks, and more
  • You can get it moving really fast
  • It is fun to play with and ride
  • It is colorful, ours is blue and red, but you can get it in a variety of different of colors

 

PlasmaCar Negatives:

  • I have to wait my turn to ride on the PlasmaCar
  • At times my sister acts like she will run over my toes which scares me!

I give the PlasmaCar our top rating of 5 smiles because it has been a toy that we have played with for several years.  It is durable, something we can still play with as we get older, and it is a lot of fun!

The PlasmaCar has been a lot of fun for me, my sister, and for our friends that visit our house.  We keep our PlasmaCar inside most of the time, occasionally we’ll ride it in the garage.  If you are looking for a great gift for a kid on your list the PlasmaCar is one I highly recommend!

Blood Moon

On Wednesday I got up early to watch a Lunar Eclipse.  A Lunar Eclipse is when the Earth’s shadow made the moon look like it disappeared.  A Lunar Eclipse happens when the Earth comes between the moon and the sun.  Once the moon is completely in the shadow it turns red this is called a Blood Moon.
